Ceramic Coating Sunshine Coast: What to Expect

Here’s how a coating job runs, from quote to handover. The Ultimate Protection Package is done in one day.

1. Quote and prep

Pricing is set by vehicle size: sedan, SUV or 4WD. We start with a wash and chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove iron particles, tar and environmental fallout.

2. Machine polish

We remove swirl marks and light scratches to bring back true paint clarity before anything is locked in under the coating.

3. Blask application

The coating goes on panel by panel, out of direct sun.

4. Cure and aftercare

The car should not get wet during the initial cure, and we'll talk you through how to wash it afterwards.

Blask Coatings and Our 5-Year Limited Warranty

We’re a Blask-certified installer and use Blask ceramic coatings. They give 9H hardness for slickness and resistance to wash marring, UV protection against oxidation and fading, and strong hydrophobic beading so water and dirt slide off. The Ultimate Protection Package carries a 5-year limited warranty. Ask us for the written warranty terms, and the care it needs, when you book.

How Long Does Ceramic Coating Last?

A coating’s durability depends entirely on the conditions the car is stored in and on whether maintenance is done often and correctly. Our Ultimate Protection Package uses a 5-year Blask coating with a 5-year limited warranty, and our 1-year Blask coating comes with smaller detail packages that don’t include paint correction. On the Sunshine Coast, strong UV, salt air and tree sap wear coatings faster than in milder climates, so regular gentle washing with a pH-neutral shampoo, no automatic brush car washes, and parking under cover where you can all help your coating reach its full life.

Ceramic Coating vs Wax and Sealant

Wax sits on top of your paint and usually washes off within weeks. A spray sealant lasts a few months. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to your clear coat and lasts for years, with stronger UV resistance, a harder and slicker surface, and much better water beading. It costs more up front, but you’re not reapplying protection every few weeks in the Queensland sun. Caring for Coated Paint

A coating is low maintenance, not no maintenance. Wash every one to two weeks with a pH-neutral shampoo and a soft mitt, dry with a clean microfibre towel, and skip automatic brush car washes and harsh degreasers. Rinse off bird droppings and tree sap promptly. Following these care steps keeps your 5-year limited warranty valid, and we’ll walk you through it on the day and give you written aftercare. Mobile Coating at Your Home or Workplace

There’s no need to drop your car at a workshop. We come to you with our own generator, so the job doesn’t depend on a nearby power point. All we need is access to an outside tap. A garage, carport or shaded spot is best for application and curing. If you only have open parking, tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it.
